Slow Internet connection Initialization on Startup

Hello i am having an unusual problem with windows 7 64 Bit.

I am using a belkin wireless adapter with windows 7 64 bit drivers. When i startup the computer the blue circle just keeps turning on my internet connection icon in the taskbar. The internet connection takes 2-3 mins to startup and it can be annoying every time i startup windows. I cant open some programs until it has finished starting up. Everything else in the taskbar starts up though. Even when i uninstall the drivers the same problem occurs.

Does anybody have any idea why i have this long delay?

I'm gonna assume it isn't a spyware or virus that's causing this. When you said you uninstall the drivers, did you update it with the latest?

I have had this problem in the past and found it was an entry in msconfig/start up that was slowing my internet down... open msconfig/startup and disable all...reboot and test your speed... if your speed is improved, you can enable the startup apps till you find the one that is causing you problems .. Hope this helps...

Yeah i tried the msconfig method of disabling everything and then starting up the computer but it still takes about 2-3 mins to load up the internet connection. When i uninstalled the drivers. I reinstalled it again but still had the same problems. These drivers are windows 7 64 bit drivers.

It is highly unlikely that it is spyware/virus as i have always had this problem even when formatting the computer.

It could possibly be the drivers as the last time i unistalled it the internet connection loaded up in 10 seconds. But the time before that when i unintalled the drivers it still took 2-3 mins to load up.
