Windows 7: homegroup desktop to laptop

homegroup desktop to laptop

I have a desktop with Windows 7 on it its called Gary-PC (wired connection) i also have a laptop called Gary-pc (wireless) I am trying to get the files off of my desktop to my laptop, i have created a homegroup on both but my desktop does not see any of the groups (my sis has a laptop as well) does the fact that both are called Gary-PC screw up the connection between the 2

Hi, check that you have done everything as per this.

Also if you think you have done it correctly, have a look at the other tutorials,
they may help you as well.
