    Win7 Networking with a Mac


    Hello,

    I have two machines, a laptop with Win7 RC Ultimate (32bit) and a desktop with Win7 Pro (32bit). Together, they have a nice little HOMEGROUP network. The laptop can print from the shared printer, and both transfer files easily.

    The problem: my roommate has a MacBook Pro (from 2008) running Leopard OS...we'd prefer to have a shared network instead of having to use flash drives, etc, to transfer files over. How do I get that thing to access my HOMEGROUP network? It detects the wireless network and uses that for internet access, but doesn't detect HOMEGROUP or the printer on that network.

    Additionally, the MacBook Pro repeatedly tries to connect to an old wireless network that we no longer use, despite me (trying) setting all of its network preferences to our current router's wireless network. Any suggestions? I know I found a forum piece (on this forum?) about this problem a while ago when I first tried to solve it, but it just got quite confusing and didn't help much.

    macs can run boot camp. This is a link about boot camp Boot Camp: Windows 7 installation frequently asked questions this will show you how to do it. Do what it says and you can network then.
