Remote assistance

Hi there,

I'm trying to take control of my user's machine with the built in Remote Assistance - Easy connect. I need to do it through easyconnect as the user is my 73 years old mum. We both use seven as OS, we both have a very fast ADLS internet connection (10mb as an average result on both sides, it's practically as good as a lan!), no proxy, it sounds all simple.
But weirly enough when I launch Easy connect it tells me that it can't reach the global peer to peer network.
Any idea anyone?
I used to do it with the old VNC on XP but incompatible with W seven so far. ;(

Thanks

I do remote support for my 82 year old Dad. Remote Assistance was a little too much for him to handle so I switched to Teamviewer. It's easy to start and it's free. No worrying about firewalls or email contact lists or other such things. It connects every time.

All they need to do is start it and tell you the ID and PW it presents and you can connect very easily.
