    Remote Desktop Connection Question

When you connect to another computer it locks the computer, is there a way to let the computer see what you are doing? I don't want to use remote assistance, this way i just connect and it pulls up the desktop, its nice and easy.

    Thanks for the help

If this is not over the Internet you could use Dameware Remote. www.dameware.com

    Works Great!

    Over the internet?
    Works without pre-install?
    Works without changing firewall?
    Works without opening ports?
    Works without Admin Rights?

    Over the internet?
Radmin - PC Remote Control Software - [GUIDE] How to establish the connection outside of LAN

Radmin is just one option out there. Complex or easy, is in th eye of the beholder.

If a software has to be pre-installed and the firewall opened it is typically not considered an Internet software. Dameware will work just the same over the internet if you pre-set it up. Since I did not know the requesters application I stated NOT over the Internet due to complexity as you mention. Looks like Dameware and Radmin will do a great job on a local network but over the Internet it is a bit of work to get it running. Software such as Teamviewer works great as Internet software because it does not require a pre-setup or to change firewall settings, or ports to be setup. I personally use both, Dameware on the local network and Teamviewer over the internet. One plus with the Dameware is if the software has NOT been installed on the remote machine they give you the option to do a remote client install.

Thanks for your input. I hope we have helped with the original question.
