Networking Password Issue

I have Windows 7 and WinXP on my small home network. None of the machines have passwords (yes I know it's an insecure practice). When trying to connect to to the Windows 7 computer a window comes up requesting my username and password. Password protected sharing is turned off.

I can connect to the Windows 7 machine from WinXP machine without a problem.

Any suggestions?

Regards

Easiest way would just be to give the machines usernames and passwords. Then give those accounts sharing accessibility, and security accessibility.

If not you could give guest access to those shares.

OK I guess I can fix the problem by adding passwords, but isn't turning off "Password protected sharing" supposed to make that unnecessary?
