Windows 7: Problem with wireless adapter network connection.

Alright, so I just got a Linksys Wireless-G Wireless adapter for my desktop and it installed fine but my wireless adapter said theres limited access to the network.Also, the network is unidentified. So, I ran a troubleshoot. It said Windows cannot connect to DLQD6 and "Wireless Network Connection" doesnt have a valid IP configuration. Please, help me out with this.

I assume the router is connected to the modem and both modem and router are set to DHCP- Auto Config?

First try:

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

If not work, try do the same but connected directly to the router via ethernet.

Finally check in the MAC Address Clone tab, to see if the option is enabled.

Note: you access the router page via IE http://192.168.1.1

Alright so, I was renewing it and this thing popped up, saying

An error occurred while renewing interface Wireless Network Connection : unable
to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out.
An error occurred while releasing interface Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1 : The sy
stem cannot find the file specified.

What does that mean??

It basically means you are unable to connect to the DHCP server (your ISP) to request IP. Possibly blocked by the router. I learnt this when i had issue with my eeepc trying to go pass the router as well. How did you go with the MAC tab?

Well, I have this, Actiontec GT704WG Wireless DSL Gateway. Where its both a router and modem in 1. But I checked on my MAC and it was still disabled. Wat do u reccomend me to do??

Enable it to start with. If there is a section to put in the MAC address, get the details of the adapter from ipconfig /all and put it in. Then Save the settings. You might have to then disconnect the cable and reattached it from your machine. Try it.

Well, I looked around the website and I could only find the place to put in information for my local connection not my wireless connection. Wat should I do to get that? And also, should i copy and paste my Ip address info on here for u to look at??

I was referring to the MAC address. Can you screenshot the same location as what i have in my image?

No, I can't. It goes to an Actiontec page instead of linksys since I'm using the router to connect to the internet. I can't use my wireless adapter since it cant connect.

Ok i reread your post and you have a Actiontec router not a Linksys.

What i was referring is on Page 58 of the menual.
