BTW, do you have the file share active or at least port 445 TCP/ UDP ??

I guess i must have for it to work at all.
Ive had the firewall off (both Eset and windows) all security off (that i can find) and all sharing on.
40 mins it took at one point for my workgroup to show up on my streamer and still my W7 PC wasnt showing. This happens very frequently.
The streamer always shows up in network places straight away as a media streamer but i cant do anything with it.
last week it was showing as a storage device as well. Its running SMB server and i can access it via the command prompt but its been a good few days since i saw any other devices in network.
Also the Tcpip.sys is causing BSOD quite often now.

Im giving up on it now. Life is to short to waste time on this. I dont have one network issue with XP so for now ill keep to that.

    Thanks for the help.

    Dave.

well......maybe ill give 7077 a quick look tonight
Ill give it a chance. Seems that networking is on the list of bug fixes so fingers crossed.

Me too. The most frustrating thing is there seems no way to predict when it will work. If it never worked then at least i would have a goal but when it works literally one hour and then the next its stopped working its harder to figure out.
    But ill keep you posted.

    Cheers.

Well it seems to be working at last.
And im 99% sure its been down to Eset Security.
This is the one program thats always needed a reinstal. Even now on 7077 i had the same issues as above but once Eset was off its working properly.....for now.
Now i just need to find a new AV program.

At the moment im having virus trouble (i have a thread going in another forum) so still working on that.
I think its clear but i seem to have broken Gadgets as they wont open.
Im going to try Nod32 first as i have a licence for that. Ill keep using the W7 Firewall for now. I will look in to AVG as ive used it in the past. I couldnt install it last night. It kept giving me errors but that was probably to do with the infection i had.
The network is all working though, so it was definitely to do with Eset Security and maybe 7068.

    cheers.

    Dave.
