Disable Password-Protected sharing and Guest account

Helloh,

I was trying to share some media from my Windows 7 computer to an XBMC-classic console. It used to work fine with Windows XP + Simple file sharing but i had to fiddle around a little bit in Windows 7 to get it to work, one of the things I did was to enable Sharing without password.

This however has a side-effect, that the Guest-account is able to log on locally to the computer as well. I believe this wasn't the case in XP Simple File Sharing, the guest account would only be used as a way to access fileshares.

Is this possible in Windows 7? I really do not want the Guest-account as an option on the logon-screen.

I suspect you are running homegroup. Homegroup is for win 7 machines only. Since you have a classic on you should be running the workgroup model instead. Workgroup also allows you to run without password should you need.
