I don't think we can help you as you have not explained your problem very well and you don't even seem to know what OS your using.

are you meaning you cannot close internet explorer due to a missbehaving addon? One idea would be to disable all the addons and then enable them one by one to see which one is the cause.

There are a couple of things you should make a lot mroe clear for us to adequately help you.

Firstly, understand that the Internet is the global conglomerate of networks that you access, not any program on your computer. You can use Browsers to view content on websites, which is only a small part of the vast multitude called the Internet, but in now way do you 'open' and 'close' the Internet on your computer.

That being said, I suspect that swarfega is correct, and that you are referring to Internet *Explorer*. If that is the case, then I have to ask some questions:

    1) Have you rebooted the machine? If not, do so immediately. If so, does Internet Explorer (colloquially called IE) automatically run?

    2) What security software (anti virus programs, anti-malware programs, etc.) are you running?

    3) Would you please click the link a ways under your name that says My system Specs and then click the link Update your System Specs so we can get a better idea of what you are running?
