Virtual ethernet adapter problem

Hi,

I have a problem with my network settings. If I type "ipconfig /all" in a command prompt it outputs my usual broadband connection and ethernet adaptor, but it also gives me 46 virtual adapters that I don't recognize. I use VirtualBox, but that only creates one virtual adapter and it's called "Ethernet adapter VirtualBox Host-Only Network:". I don't know what to do about the rest of them. I won't give you the whole output here, as it is very big, but I will give you all the info that shoul be there and one sample of the ones that shouldn't.

Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes

I've changed the original info (MAC and IP's) for security reasons, but you get the idea. The last part is repeated 40-something times with different #.

Can you tell me how those Virtual adapters got there? Is this normal, can I do something to get rid of them?

Thanks.
