    non-admin user, wireless issues

    Hi,

Ive just bought my daughter a new laptop which had Win7 home pre-installed.

I left the default account as an administrator account, passworded and created a secondary account for her, non-passworded.

Everytime we log into her account, the wireless light on the laptop seems to be disabled and there isnt any wireless connectivity.

If i switch users and log in as admin, my wireless light, lights up and wireless is available. Swap back to her account and the wireless stays enabled.

Ive been using XP and Vista and aint had this problem before so whats going on with Win7 that Ive missed?

Hope someone can help, driving me insane having to log in as admin and swap accounts everytime she wants to use the laptop. Thanks!

    Welcome

Can be many reasons, but one is that the account is corrupt. Try making another for your daughter and see if it works any better.

As a test, turn off firewall and antivirus. See if that helps.

Just had a thought, the problem may not be with your daughters account, your account may be blocking her. Try making a new user account, delte your present account and see if that works.

I know its a pain, but we need to find the cause before we can repair it.
