    Link online IDs

Has anyone had the opportunity to try this option out?
I've linked my Windows Live ID but won't get a chance to try it out for a while. I've checked the help files and it seems like an interesting concept. Is it new to 7077 as i've never notice it before.?

    Hello Orbital Shark,

I too have looked at it but not had time to play with it - It is included in 7068 and I think was in 7057, (but may be wrong :)).

Seems like it could be useful to have a for people in an enterprise network scenario, although a lot of systems use the eMail address as the user ID in those circumstances due to AD, but it would give a link for alternate ID's.

Think it needs a bit more investigation, and will become more useful if the likes of Google, Yahoo, and the like support it

    Thanks for the reply.

I might get a chance to look at it over the weekend so if I do i'll post my findings. Thing is it looks to be W7 only and it would be AWESOME if i could network my GF's mothers laptop with mine this way.

    Hi,

Yes will be interesting to see what can be done,

We may not be a number but are all fast becoming our eMail address so it does make sense to tie these and our "local" ID together in the home markets

Its in 7068. In fact I wrote a short tutorial on how to set it up.

IIRC, there was a similar function (though not as robust) built into Vista as well....
