Win 7 can not join domain

    Dear all

i just buy a new notebook with win 7 pro, but i get a problem when to connect it into our domain (win 2003 service pack 2). I can ping another ip in network but i can not ping our DC, there are message request time out. So when i change the connection from control panel->system it's fail.
I was try to disable ipv6, disable teredo tunnel, disable isatap tunnel and disable firewall it's the same.
There are no alert in DC viewer so i don't know what the root problem.
    Any suggestion

    Best regard's

    Hi hartanto,

I just succesfully joined 4 laptops with Windows 7 to my domain. 3 of my domain controllers are running Win2k3 R2, and one is Win2k8. I didn't encounter any issues. The only issue I found was with printer drivers not working with windows 7.

It sounds like you have an underlying network connectivity problem. Is your laptop on the very same LAN as the domain controller? If not, you won't be able to join a new computer remotely to a domain while it's not on the same LAN.

    Hi danzero

i have only one DC but i can not ping the ip of DC, i don't know the problem cause because there are no error report in DC system viewer. So i think i must resolve the ping problem because i can not ping from DC to ip laptop.
