Double network type causing conflict

Hey all,

I did a search and didn't find anything related. If there is subject regarding this subject, please let me know.

I have a DELL Vostro 1510 notebook, which I use on my office and at home. At home I just have a wireless network, so no problems. However, @ work I have use a cable to connect to the internet.

At work my network (first time) was set to "WORK", and at home to "HOME"... no big deal till here.

But Windows 7 insists on putting in conflict 2 types of network when i connect the cable of my office's network!

Look at the SS attached, it shows clearly what happens.

That way, It simply won't give me internet access...

To fix that, I need to disable the network adapter, go to troubleshoot problems, so it detects that the network adapter was disabled, re-enable it and then it start working again, setting just the "work network", and that way avoiding conflict between 2 types of network in the same conn.

I don't want to do that all the time I reboot my computer... And I have no idea how to solve that issue...

Anyone has any idea? It's way really annoying.

Thanks a lot.

My Vostro is a 1400 and there is a little switch on the front edge that lets you turn the wireless network card on or off (and a momentary position to get it to search for wireless networks). I'd guess your 1510 has the same. Can't you just switch it off when you are going to connect to a wired network?

When I do that, bluetooth is also turned off, and I have a bluetooth mouse.

But its not wireless which is mixing things... its the cable. Just with cable conn that happens.
