Intel 5100agn unable to connect to network

I installed a Intel 5100 wifi adapter in my PC and it shows the available connections with good signal strength, but when I click to connect and enter my key I get the Windows was unable to connect. I powered down and restarted the modem and same result. I have the latest win 7 drivers and even uninstalled/reinstalled. I've tried everything I can think to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Seven Forums!

What make and model of router do you have and what firmware is on it? Many times this kind of problem can be addressed by upgrading firmware in the router.

Take a look at the Windows 7 Compatibility list to see if your router is listed. That gives you the best chance of it working correctly.
