W7, PS3 and WPA2 security

Hi all,

I am running windows seven on my main PC (wired), 2 linux laptops and 1 linux desktop and a PS3 over my wireless conection.
Due to security concerns I have changed from WEP to WPA2 security across my network. Everything runs fine, I can access the internet from all devices, but my PS3 will no longer see any media servers.
On my W7 desktop I use nero media home (and windows media server by default) and under wep security I have no issues at all, but as soon as I switch to WPA2, I loose both media servers from my PS3 menu.
I have checked the media server settings on the playstation to ensure it's enabled, but like I said I can access iplayer and the internet, but not my media severs!!
Switch back to WEP and it's fine again.
Switch back to wpa2, it works, but as soon as the PC reboots, the PS3 looses the media servers.

Anyone have any idea what is going on?

I can't really help but can you let us know what router you are using.

I know with my system I'm using a BT Home Hub with the WPA2 security and when I wanted to connect my Nintendo DS that would only do WEP, I wasn't prepared to lower the security on the router so I bought the Nintendo USB Wi-Fi Connector Dongle so I could connect the DS, it isn't something that I want to keep connected permanently anyway so it works out very well.

I'm sure the experts will be able to help when you let them know the make and model of your router.

What wireless router are you using? My bet would be on your router. SOunds like an issue with port forwarding, or UPnP, or something. Try disabling UPnP.

Using a linksys wag160n.

UPNP now disabled. No difference.

May need to manually setup port forwarding if you haven't done so for (Ports: 80(TCP), 443(TCP),5223(TCP), 3478(UDP), 3479(UDP), 3658(UDP))

This may help to set that up(don't use the ports in the link, just use for reference to set the above ports)

cheers for the help.
Set port fowarding up but still no joy.

Gone back to WEP security for now until I find a solution.
Not sure if my PS3 can handle WPA2 for some reason.

I am using a Linksys WRT160nv2, I recently clean installed windows 7 on my Vista desktop. I thought it would be my NIC having problems so I installed a linksys WMP600N. It worked for a while until I updated everything and restarted now it won't work again. Is it my router problem, NIC problem?

802.1x and WPA2?
Loving Windows 7 so far, but I can't connect my laptop to my work network. The network uses 802.1x, I believe with WPA2. Windows tells me it's a WPA2 network, however it won't connect to it. I ran the troubleshooter and it still won't connect. Interestingly, if I create a wireless network...
