Acces Denied for W7 Shared folder

i cannot access a shared folder on Windows 7 from an XP machine.

    buy W7 laptop.
share folders on W7 laptop and access them on XP machine... no problem.
router goes bad and have to replace.
    setup new router.
connect to internet from W7 and Xp machine.
connect to XP shared folders from W7 laptop.
ACCESS DENIED trying to view shared folders on W7 laptop from XP machine.

both computers are on the same workgroup.

i have specific shared folders i am wanting to access... NOT the homegroup folders setup by W7.

    this is so frustrating.

I am more curious about the router causing ntfs acl permission issues, lol. But anyway... Add the "everyone" group to the Security tab...

on the folder you wish to "share".

right click, click properties, security,,, edit , add, type: everyone, hit enter, check 'full control' next to the everyone group.
