Windows 7: download speeds

hi new to these forums....i just re downloaded windows 7 on my computer and now i am experiencing very slow download speeds. my computer was much slower before but had much faster download speeds. now that i have re downloaded windows 7 its now the exact opposite, faster computer but slower download speeds. i dont have very many things downloaded on my computer at all so i am a bit confused on this whole thing. obviously there is something wrong here and i would appreciate some help thanks.

By "re downloaded" I hope you don't mean you're running an illegal copy of Windows 7, in which case we won't be able to help you... do you mean reinstalled?

How are the other aspects of your internet connection performing, such as browsing the internet, playing online games, or uploading photos or video?

yes i mean re installed sorry i worded that wrong. the rest of my computer is working faster then it was before i re installed windows 7, in other words its working fine. since i re installed windows 7 i thought everything would be working faster since it would almost be like a new computer but this is not the case. at least for the downloading its not.

It will help us to help you when THESE are filled in. Have you run Windows update, updated your chipset ect?
