    CSC-Cache as File System Type

Hello new windows 7 user (1 month) and first time poster here.

I've got a problem that I can't seem to find the solution to after searching extensively.

I am running Win7 Business 32bit on an AMD Dual Core Platform 2.4g with 2gb of RAM.

I have a Buffalo Linkstation Pro NAS which all of my computers map network drives to. With XP, all of the "My Documents" were moved to the server as to share a common set of files. It turns out that since the Linkstation is a Linux based device I can't add the "My Documents" folder to either the Win7 Libraries or as the default "My Documents" location (since it can't be indexed). I can deal with this limitation for now, but I'll be upgrading to a Windows Home Server after the new year.

My problem is thus: I mapped the network shares as drives and attempted some what successfully to move the My Documents location to the server back when I installed windows 7. Everything worked well until about a week ago. When I attempt to access the "My Documents" folder half the files and folders have grey x's on them and can't be accessed. The rest of the folders can be accessed, but are empty. All the other mapped network drives show up as NTFS format except the network drive that holds the "My Documents" folder. It shows up as CSC-CACHE as the file system type and as "Disconnected".

I've moved "My Documents" back to the correct folder on the "C:" drive, disconnected and remapped the share "Home" which holds the "My Documents" data, but I'm still getting the CSC-Cache file type and disconnected status.

Any help would be great as I can't access any of the documents on the share at this time.

    Thanks!

    DrBones
