Hey Manhunter, yes you are correct, I was trying to change the power settings via control panel, not quite so accurate I think.
Here is a brief detail from MS helpdesk which has fixed the problem!
Please type "Device Manager" in the start menu search and then hit enter.
Then please click on the plus mark to the side of the "Network Adapters".
Please right click the display adapters listed under it (Wired and Wireless).
Then click on "Properties".
Please navigate to the "Power Management" tab.
Please clear the checkbox next to the option" Turn off this device to save power".
Then click on "Apply" and click on "Ok". Please restart the computer and check with the issue.
