Does your router/firewall have a DNS relay built in?

If it does then your DNS should be set to the firewall not your ISP. You might have problems with both WAN and LAN functions aiming this beyond the firewall.

Since the firewall gateway is, that's probably where you should set your DNS as well.

I would also suggest that you disable (uncheck) IPV6 support in your network adaptors and test...

Tried to set DNS to and and no go on either one. My current DNS settings were what my IT guy who handles my DNS suggested I set them at. Never had any trouble with the settings before upgrading to Win7. Thanks for the suggestions....

both are public dns settings, while bypassing your network on the 7 boxes you were connected to those google dns servers I had listed above. I wanted to see if it was your public dns that was limiting your site connectivity.

Can you run a tracert to a non working site on one of the windows 7 boxes?

Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8.1 Pro,

I'd have to take down the third party firewall and see if that works, they cause nothing but problems with Windows 7. This is a firewall problem in case you weren't aware. The fact that you can only get to certain sites also points to a firewall problem.

tracert to google times out. Nothing returned. Regarding the firewall, I thought it would be the issue as well, but I didn't think the firewall would allow data from an XP computer and not allow data from a Win7 computer. Wouldn't the "traffic" look the same to the firewall whether it is traveling to/from an XP machine or a Win7 mahcine? Thanks!

I've turned off windows firewall and removed all virus software. my Pix firewall should keep out most viruses anyway, right? I've cranked security settings down to a minimum as well.
