[Win7 Ultimate x64] Sharing / HDD Reading/Writing Prob

    Anyone think its a driver or hardware issue?

    hi,
    If you want to try, just try to re-format G drive
    but don't forget to back up first

    I would if I could. I've got 1.4TB of used space on G. I have no where to back it up lol

    Wow... that sucks.

    I noticed you are logged in as "administrator"... Do you have a separate user account, under your name perhaps? Logging in as Admin has some advantages but "Administrator" can't own anything, disk space is for users....

    If you don't have one, create an account under your name with administrative priveledges... Log into that, then go back to the ownership page and take ownership of all but your C: disk, under that name... See if that works....

    Sorry I guess I wasn't clear. I am logged in as my user name and it's in the administrators group. I'm not logged in and the actual administrator.

    I gave up and rebuilt my XP computer and stuck the drives back in it and there all working perfect. I'm just using the XP machine as a server.

    Something else that was strange... I uninstalled a program and it gave me an error saying that only administrators can until programs. But I'm logged in with Admin rights. I clicked uninstall again and it work. Win7 is wack!!!!
