Problems with NAS drive

•I have a Linksys WAG160N modem/router.•A Vantec Nexstar LX Ultra Network Attached Storage Device connected by cable to the WAG160N. •Two Computers, the first is a Dell Desktop with XP SP3 connected by cable to the WAG160N. The second is a Dell Laptop with Windows 7 home premium connected wirelessly to WAG160N. •The Desktop works no problems at all connecting to the NAS, read/write/play etc, can map the drives and they still appear after restart. Never had an issue with it on this desktop.•The Laptop has problems connecting to the NAS. The NAS is displayed as a 'Media Device' under the network tab. Upon opening this it opens media player but no photos or videos etc are displayed, nor does it find any (there are heaps on it). It never displays the NAS drive as a networked 'computer' under the Network tab.•I 'ping' the ip address and always get a response. •When I try and map a network drive the NAS does not appear, but often if I type in the name or ip address it will pop up and I can map a drive. However it always becomes a disconnected drive after restart, and it seems as if I have to 'ping' the NAS every time to then register back on the network again and the mapped drive starts working again. I have read many posts but am unsure what to do.•Thanks in advance for any help
