    "C:\Users" Folder Shared?

My C:\Users Folder is shared, I do not have the Public Folders option enabled. I don't have any kind of shares set up. Is this normal? Kind seems weird for Microsoft to have such a share enabled by default if no public sharing is enabled.

    Thanks

Right click the folder ... select Share with then Advanced Sharing ... on the share's property box uncheck "Share this folder"...

When you notice that just the User folder is shared and you didn't even set up shares with the user folder, it's usually because you inadvertantly set up a Homegroup type of network in a mixed Op system network.

Homegroups wasn't meant to be used in a mixed Op system network so the sharing options do not work correctly. When that happens the User folder ends up being shared even though you didn't set up permissions to share it.

You can fix the problem by just leaving the Homegroup and then setting up a Workgroup type of network.

Thanks! However I wasn't ever part of a homegroup. I was wondering if there was some other setting I was missing that had set Users as a share. I will manually delete this share.

Is there a stealth mode in Win7?
Some shares seem to be forever. When I plug in my laptop at work IT always knows I am there with Win7. With XP I could be full stealth and still stream Pandora. There are times I have to get stuff done so I want to be unnoticed.
/admin and /users will not stop sharing for me.
