    Can you connect to the internet with bluetooth?


    Hello I am new to the bluetooth technologies and I have the following question. Can you connect to a wifi network through a bluetooth usb adapter?

    If you had a modem with bluetooth connectivity... yes.

    Splicing wires together... no.

    The communications protocals are deliberately totally different.

    I don't think you'd want to anyway, the maximum speed of Bluetooth 3.0 + HS is 24 Mbit/s. That's alot slower than Wireless N's 300Mbit/s or Ethernet's top speed of 100Mbps or 1000Mbps depending on the protocol.

    Granted that's fast enough for most internet sources, but it's not fast enough to carry some of the higher speed cable packages or the higher speed fiber packages.

    Bluetooth is more suitable for wireless devices and such.
