Build 7100 Via Velocity gigabit ethernet card fails

Hi there

Laptop connectivity problem.
Build 7100 X-64 still won't work with Via velocity family gigabit ethernet card

Windows says device is OK and functioning. It works fine in the 32 bit version (x-86).

I'll just continue using Wireless or the USB===>LAN adapter on this notebook.

At least wireless (the most important) still works, so does my USB==>LAN adapter for hard wired LAN access.

I haven't been able to get the built in Via velocity adapter working as far back as VISTA x-64 although it DID work on XP PRO 64 bit version.

Guess some hardware really IS inconsistent. ( I KNOW it's not a router prob -- same prob occurs on at least 3 different routers on totally different networks).

Cheers
jimbo.
