Possible bug related to USM wireless adapter?

I run a Windows 7 Professional desktop on a wireless network via a USB wireless adapter. I have noticed that on many occasions, when trying to disable a USB flash drive (located on a different physical USB interface on the tower) my wireless adapter is also disabled. I will try to replicate these results with a USB wireless adapter from a different manufacturer, but something tells me this issue is more likely related to the OSs interface with the adapter rather than the adapter itself. I can provide the specific make/model of the adapter later if needed (am currently on a system at a separate location). I'm just wondering if anybody else has experienced the same, and if so, if the issue has been reported.

[I meant USB in the title, not USM. Fat finger!]

I'm assuming that you're talking about ejecting a USB Drive not disabling it yes?

Check to see if using this program will eject the USB Stick on it's own.
