Unable to view network drive, only "users" folder

    Hi,

I recently upgraded windows 7 onto both my laptop and desktop PC's. Initially, when I viewed the network tab in explorer, it used to bring up a list of my computers, of which I could then pick one, expand the list and see the corresponsing drives attached.

Today, I (stupidly) set up a homegroup. deciding i didn't really need it, i then deleted it! however, now when i expand the computers under the network tab, i cannot see the drives anymore. i can only see a folder labelled "Users".

Does anyone have any idea how i can get it to revert to what it used to show?

    many thanks,

    mike

You will need to make sure that you officially "leave" the Homegroup to fix that particular problem. After that you will want to set up a Workgroup type of network.

    Hi Mike,

This might be a simple view options issue. Try right-clicking in the empty space of the Network window in Explorer, and changing the "Group by" setting. If this isn't what you mean, could you please clarify or provide a screenshot?

    Cheers,
