Unable to install from .cab file on Win7 remote desktop

    Hi,
I have a pc running on Win XP in office. As part of testing, i had to try and install an activex control packaged in a .cab file on a Windows 7 and Internet explorer 8 from an application we built. I connect to this Windows 7 machine using the remote desktop connection from my PC running on XP. But the install DOES NOT happen on the Windows 7 remote desktop. It just refreshes the screen and nothing else happens.
If i try to install the same thing on another Win 7 PC ( to which i connect directly and not through remote desktop ), i am able to install the activex control.
This issue is hurting me bad. Can you please help me with this and provide me a solution ?
I can give you more details if needed.

I ran into this too... there are several things Remote Desktop doesn't let you do... like intalling unsigned software, changing services, etc. ... you know, the stuff a hacker might do....

We suspected the issue to be with unsigned controls and signed both the .cab file and the activex as well. But, it DID NOT solve the issue

You're still going to run into stuff that Remote Desktop just plain won't let you do...
The ones I keep bumping into is that it won't let you change services or edit the registry.
