Remote Desktop Issues - Black Context Menus

Hello,
I have a local server which I always connect to via Remote Desktop. I have never had any issues with this and it has been an excellent way to manage my server. Recently I began to notice that all of the context menus are covered in black when they appear. Mousing over any portion of the context menu reveals that portion, but until the entire menu is moused over, there are sill black portions of the context menu. I have included example screenshots. This happens with every application, it is not limited to any specific application.

I assumed some settings must have been changed, but I cannot find anything that is different from the settings I have always used. This appears to be an issue with Remote Desktop, but I was wondering if anyone else has ever encountered this. If so, I would very much appreciate any advice on resolving this issue.

I have never seen this exact issue but I can say that the video drivers on the host machine (server) do have an effect on Remote Desktop. Maybe check that your server has updated video drivers.

I am having this exact problem on my local box, without connecting to a remote machine. It's intermittent, and it seems to go away upon reboot. It's happened twice, and the only thing I've noticed in common between the two times was that I had connected new USB devices (an ergonomic keyboard, then a UPS).

The only other thing I can think of is a program called IE Tester, which I was using shortly before it happened this latest time.

I'd appreciate any information on this.
