Network configuration keeps losing default gateway

Hi all,

I am new to this forum and wanted to share a rather odd network configuration problem I am having. I don't know how it's related but this is happening mostly when I have vuze (azureus) torrent client running in the background. After a while I see my download speed as well as upload speed has gone down to "0" and I cannot connect to any websites either. Network settings tell me I am still connected to internet but when I do "diagnose" in the end it says "invalid default gateway" and fixes the problem and I can surf the net or use vuze again. But this problem keeps occurring. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

I am at work right now and I will try to add some screen shots when I get home since it will very likely be having the same problem.
