Your bandwidth is probably too low to stream movies, youtube etc.

I don't use online cable TV etc it but if you go into Windows Media Centre > Tasks >Settings
You set up online TV and sound etc in there! I think you would need a pci/usb TV tuner of some sort too!

Also make sure the various software/servers are switched on in "Computer Management"> Services & Applications > 'Services'

I have Win 7 Ultimate - are different versions of Windows 7 missing/cut off from using this type of facility????

I also agree with post above that you would need a faster internet speed to get High Definition TV streaming progs etc

On the other hand - have you installed the latest versions of Adobe - Flash Player + Shockwave??
If the movie on this page does not work - you do not have flash installed(properly) or your internet speed is too low!
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
Download link is at top right of page!

    Then look for/download adobe "shockwave"

You need to do one download for eg 'Firefox' + one download for 'Internet Explorer' depending which you are using (or both)!

Have you updated software/firmware of router or PC firewall recently?

Also your PC firewall could be blocking the ports! Try turning it off for a minute - see if you connect.

Firefox now auto-disables out of date software! look in Tools >add-ons>plug_ins

See if any are disabled! If so you need to down load an updated/current version.
Look for flash player/Java "disabled" etc

Have you checked on your Internet service provider "SERVICE" page to see if all services are running 100%?

Do people think there are a lot of psychics in the world? None of us can read your mind so you need to tell us everything you can so that we can diagnose your issue.
It's like on the car forums I am on, someone will post something like this:
"Hey, my car was running great yesterday but now it won't run. Need help."
And that is all they say, they don't say what model they have, what engine it is, if it cranks (engine spins but no start), or if it does nothing when you turn the key on, like if you had a dead battery.
