Wireless says I'm not connected, but I am... Hey guys, I just noticed this weird problem on my laptop today. I am connected to the internet and but the network and sharing icon on my taskbar says I'm not. It has the wireless bars and there is the yellow dot. If I click it, nothing comes up but if I right click it, I have the options of "Troubleshoot Problems" or "Open Network and Sharing Center". I have a feeling it might be a virus or some malware because today my yahoo email randomly sent out emails to contacts in my address book by itself, but I'm not sure... Any help would be appreciated
Thanks! | My System Specs |

Thanks! Ok, to make sure I'm understanding you correctly, you are able to access the Internet but your network status icon says you are not connected to any network.
Have you tried connecting to a network again, regardless?

I am already connected to the internet using wireless but the icon says I'm not. I was using ethernet cable earlier, but I can't try it right now but I know that works too. I can't try to connect to a network because if I click the icon, nothing pops up.
Edit: Apparently I can't open my Network and Sharing center at all. If I click that option, the blue loading circle just stays there.. | My System Specs | | |

Can you access the N&SC via the start menu by typing it into the search box and pressing enter? | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2GHZ Motherboard MSI 890FXA-GD70 Memory G.SKILL RipJaw 3x2GB DDR3-1066 Graphics Card 2x HIS Radeon HD 6850 1 GB Sound Card VIA 8-channel Monitor(s) Displays 2x 20 inch Acer LCDs, 1x 32" Sony LCD TV Screen Resolution 4480x900 Keyboard Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 1000 Mouse Microsoft Wiresless Mouse 5000 PSU Kingwin 1000W Modular Case Coolermaster HAF 932 Cooling 1x 120mm, 3x 200mm, CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ Hard Drives 1x Crucial 64GB SSD
