    connected but with limited access

Hey guys, I just recently got a new notebook that comes with Windows 7. I'm still using my old desktop that has Vista, and that's where I'm posting from right now.

Anyway, while I love my notebook I've been having some trouble lately on trying to connect with our wireless network. It would connect but say "limited access." I've tried reconnecting over and over again, tried deleting the network, restarting and trying to connect, basically just everything I could have physically tried I did, with some help from the people online. However, it still does not work. I know it's not a problem with the device because I have tried connecting using my neighbor's wireless network and it would connect. My friend's dad says it might be because of the password issue or whatever.

Anyway, I need some help figuring out how to fix this issue. I have a Gateway LT series notebook and we use a D-Link router at home. Thanks in advance for the help. If you guys need more info, I'll try my best to give it. Even though I could be pretty ignorant with all the technical stuff.

    Welcome, fgonzales.

    1. Does your wireless network have a password?

    2. What is the model of your notebook?

    3. Model of your D-Link router?

    4. Apartment/House?

    5. Does your router have DHCP turned on or off?

    Thanks!

Do you have cable or DSL?

sometimes you get limited access if you still need to dial into a PPOE
