Can't maintain stable connection

Hello, I will spare the boring details, but I have to use our school's wireless network for all of my work. It is a very large campus, but I can get a signal. I can connect to the internet with no problem, and browse with good speed and connectivity. My problem is in watching recorded lectures online, I don't know if they are streamed or what, but the wireless connection blips out once every few minutes, only for a second or so, then I lose my connection to the recorded lecture video, and I have to start over again, making it impossible to actually watch the videos. I bought some of the Hawking technology range amplifiers (located here if you want to see what I mean Hawking Technologies)

but it still doesn't maintain a stable connection. I don't need the connection to be faster, I don't need a larger range, I need stable throughput, I need to get rid of those momentary blips in and out of connectivity. Any hardware or software that you all know of that I can get that might help me with this? Sorry for the long post, thank you for your time and your help!

Because you can't change the network which you are already using, the most likely chance you have to fix this problem is to try a different or the newest possible wireless driver for your existing wlan connection. Often times that will fix the Wlan connection drop out problems with Windows 7.

If you can't get the exsisting wireless connection to work properly you can always use a wireless N USB adaptor which should definately fix the problem but will cost a few bucks.

This symptom may caused either by your wireless adapter or your campus' access point.
If you got no problem when you use it in other place (another access point), so your campus' access point might be in problem.

I have this problem on other wireless networks, so I don't think the access point is the problem. I also already purchased a wireless N adapter, if you look at the link in my post, and I still cannot maintain a stable connection. Any other suggestions?

So finding the correct driver is probably the best way to fix this problem. Let me look around for one.

The Hawking support page is showing drivers for Windows 7 . I'm not sure if these are better than the ones you have now but might be worth a try.

Thanks again Chev65, but I already had to download that particular driver to use my wireless N-adapter from Hawking, and still have no discernible difference in connection stability. Any other suggestions?
