LAN does not have a valid IP configuration

    Ok. But whatever you say. When two other computers work through the same router, how could this be a DHCP problem?

    DHCP server works by "marking" your NIC's MAC address as "given IP address", thus it will not be given any IP address configuration anymore. As I stated earlier, maybe your MAC address is stuck at the router's DHCP server's reservation, thus your computer doesn't get any IP from it. You need to flush that "stuck" record...

    Ok thanks for the info.

    Mow I have flushed the DNS. Should i set back the IP to Dynamic?

    Err... I don't know about that... you may try... If it still fail (you still get 169.254.x.y), then you need to get that router configuration fixed...
