Network Icon lies!

I did some searching and found 1 other post where a user seemed to of had the same issue as me. The network icon shows the computer screen with the red X on it, but he was on the network. Restarting the system seemed to have fixed his issue, but I have restarted a dozen times, and it is stilll showing the red X on my system. Everything else is just fine...I can ping every web site, access other computers on my network, etc. Please see attached picture.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions or help in resolving this issue.

Zach

Try going to the Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Properties > Double Click
on WLAN > Click Properties > Click the Configure Button > Power
Management Tab

UNCHECK the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save
power".

The icon also shows with the X if you have another NIC that isn't connected.
