Windows 7: Can I send hyperlink to other computer on network?

Can I send hyperlink to other computer on network?

I am running a Windows 7 network, with a notebook, and a desktop PC, connected thru a wireless router. The notebook is WiFi, and the desktop is Ethernet cabled.

Is there a way to send "snippets" such as a hyperlink, or something, between computers? I know that I can put the hyperlink in a file and save it, then access it from the other computer, but is there a way to "message" this text across the network, without actually having to save it?

Back at Pacific Bell, we used to call these "snaps" -- short bits of a message transmitted across the network.

Thanks for any help you can give, or insights as well.

The Xmarks extension for Chrome and Firefox will let you open tabs open on one computer, on another computer.

Product FRED,

I appreciate the information, but I, unfortunately, have not become able to use anything except IE. I would also like to send other snippets, like a phone number, or something like that.

I'm using Live Calendar for that. Just paste whatever you want to Calendar and access it from any other computer. Easy, fast and simple.
