ok, its a university router. basically, it services thousands of people a day and it doesnt stuff up.
i've started updating
drivers, but none of them were that out of date to begin with.
the wnic is broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n. and dev.man seems to think it already has the best
drivers.
just installed a
driver for the MS wifi virtual miniport adapater... whatever that is.
there is no security key for this network. anybody with my university username/passcode can log on. basically the way we set it up makes it so that windows is meant to ask for additiona detals (the username/passcode) to log into the wireless.
trouble is, my lappy won't do this. it just says the router is broken.
should i start tinkering with IP config?
