Windows Remote Desktop between W-7 Pro & XP Pro

Our office and its wide area network uses XP Pro on all computers. I'm ordering two new desktops and have the option to go with Windows 7 Pro or XP Pro.

I absolutely need the capability to connect to remote sites that are on XP Pro computers (using windows remote desktop). And, I also need to be able to manage my desktop computer (potentially Windows 7 pro) from one of the XP Pro computers.
  • Can I remote desktop to XP Pro computers from a W-7 (pro) system?
  • AND, Can I remote desktop connect to the W-7 (pro) system from an XP Pro desktop (and have full capability)?
  • Can I remotely access the W-7 pro Harddrive through DOS commands in the 'cmd' run function? (and visa-versa)???
I'm a relatively good computer user - no where near being an expert - but instructable.

Thanks,
Vidiot!!

Here you go: Remote desktop Software

Please don't post in multiple threads with the same issue. It makes things hard to keep track of.
