    problem with netgear router


    hello i currently have a netgear rangemax wireless g router (wpn824 version 2)
    and it repeatedly resets several times a day might take like an hour before it will let me on the internet then its just a matter of time till it starts resetting again and again and i was wondering i tried doing a master reset to no avail i was wondering if it is possible to competely reflash it maybe that will fix it
    if anyone knows how please tell me
    i really dont have the cash to go out and buy a new router plus i kinda liked this one anyideas?

    Yes it is possible to completely reflash the router. You'll need to download the latest firmware from Netgear. I would normally recommend advanced users use DD-WRT firmware because it can unlock advanced settings in your router, but DD-WRT does not suppor the WPN824v2.

    Here's the latest version of Netgear's firmware for the Netgear WPN824 v2

    ONLY FLASH THE ROUTER OVER ETHERNET CABLE!
    If you use a wireless connection, you could brick the router.
