New router = New Network (network2)

I swapped out my main router/gateway..

Windows 7 has created a new network for the connection.

In vista, there was an option to "merge" the networks when this happens. I change routers all the time. Everything on the network is the same. Just the mac address of the gateway has changed.

I spent quite a long time digging through the network & sharing center and was not able to find any thing that would allow me to merge the new network with the old.

Is there a function in win7 for this like there was in vista?

To merge network locations in Windows 7

you just click on the picture.... next to "Network - Work network"

at the bottom as you see in the photo you will see where you will be able to merge your networks.
