    wireless connection

Hi, I have windows 7 installed and have ADSL2+. My modem (router) is Netcomm NB6plus4 and I have a Tivo connection via ethernet.
I have a notebook that I want to connect wirelessly. Do I have to get a new modem? I am unable to set up network discovery! When I try advanced settings in Network center and click OK, it changes to network discovery off. I usually get help from these forums and find them great when I have problems. Thanks

    Well maeve1941 welcome.

Your Netcom modem is not wireless. You will need a wireless router to connect wirelessly. Why network discovery is off is a mystery. Just enable it and be sure to save the settings at the bottom of the page.

In the mean time you will net a network(cat 5) cable to connect to the internet.
