Problem with ICS and LAN connection

Hi everyone, I'm sure this has been asked 100 times, but as of yet I have not found a work around to fix my problem, so I am hoping if I post my exact situation I can figure it out.

I just purchased 2 desktop computers running Windows 7 Home Premium. I also purchased a wireless network adapter which I installed in PC 1 to connect to my home wireless network. Everything works fine there.

I then ran an Ethernet cable connecting PC 1 and PC 2 together. I've enabled ICS, and I can share files between the computers, but PC 2 has no internet access.

My LAN connection shows up as an unidentified network. I was able to get it to change to Work Network from Public Network, but this hasn't solved the problem.

Does anyone know what I need to change to make this work?

Maybe firewall or av. did you share the lan connection on both sides? Usually the easiest way to get it to work is by bridging the connection like I am doing now.

I've tried it with everything turned off. No dice there.

Bridging it however did work. Don't know why it didn't work through ICS, but thanks for the solution.

Manually setting up the ICS connection sometimes works better. It's unlikely you would need a crosover cable for this to work. Just follow the guide below.
