Modem error 633

I recently installed Verizon's Pantech USB Modem UM -175 and now I recieve error# 633-Modem is already in use or not configured correctly. I see after doing a little reasearch that it could possibly be that the fax software could be conflicting with the modem. When I open up the Control Panel> Network and Internet > Network Connections it Display's the Verizon Wireless connection but also the HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem under the same Icon that is until I insert the Modem then when I attempt to make the connection I get error 633. I've tried everything I knew. I even reinstaling the program and driver and nothing.

Do you need the fax software installed? Might help the conflict
