Windows XP Denied Permission to Windows 7 Laptop

I'm trying to get my Windows XP computer to see my Windows 7 Computer (laptop) When I search for it on the network I find it. When I click on it I get the following message:

\\name is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The specified server cannot perform the requested operation.

I tried turning windows firewall off and seeing if that helped and it didn't. So I'm not sure what other setting I need to change. I have passwords set onto both machines.

I had the problem when they were both workgroup and I changed them thinking that might help. It didn't.

I'm using AVG Antivirus and Windows Firewall
