Have to Log in Security Key after waking up from Sleep State...

Everytime my PC awakes from a Sleep state, I have to relog in the Network Security Key.

Afterwards, it takes like a long time to reestablish an Internet Connection.

And, YES, I do have it set to SAVE the Security key.

What do I have to do to keep the Security Key to stay put ?

Its probable Windows 7 saved a profile for your network with the wrong settings. First try to delete the current profile by going to: Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center. There click on the 'Manage wireless networks' link, select your network and click on Remove.

Then, scan for networks and enter your key. Again set it to save the key.

Hey Bill2,

I don't see my Wireless Network listed at all. ???

However, I am behind a Router with this PC. But, I don't see it either under Manage Wireless Networks.

Set up a new wireless network. If your router came with setup cd, you can use that otherwise, just create a new one manually. Then see if your computer is able to detect it.

Are you sure you have Windows set to connect automatically to your router? For one, the router's wireless network name would show up under "Manage Wireless networks." Two, Windows will not ask for a new security key if the network is connect to automatically, even if the security key is wrong.

Before I do that, I have a question...

I have another PC (running of this wireless router) and it has absolutely no connection issues.

Why would this one have issues while the other one doesn't ?

TIA
