"No Internet Access"

I just bought this laptop brand new, has windows 7 home premium and when i connect to my linksys wrt54gs ver 6.0 router it has local access only, no internet access.

i have disabled the network adapter and re-enabled it and nothing changes. i have also tried disabling the ipv6 protocol with no change. i have access to the other computers on this network and i can access the routers main page also. i have disabled the security to make sure that was not the problem. i have uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it.

it also works on the internet at my work, connects fine and everything. just not at home. there are 4 other laptops that run off the router and also a ps3. all the other computers have windows xp, but one used to have vista but i downgraded it cause it was slow.

i have also tried resetting router to factory defaults, but same problem.

when i ask windows to find the problem it says unable to detect any problems or something like that...
