yea i tried opening first, same message. i try to decrpt and get "an error occured applying attributes to the file

really sucks i cant believe this.

that file has credit card, banking stuff,ssn, lol all my personal stuff of family members.. lol. that software wants to remove passwords? like if i cant log in. i dont think this is a password related problem

in Windows, encryption keys are automatically created and associated with your user account.

If you reformat a computer or move the files to another computer, you first have to export the encryption keys in order to regain access to the encrypted data.
If you do not have these encryption keys, you will not be able to decrypt the data. Sadly, there is no way around it, the encryption is very strong and cannot be broken.
If you can still open the files on a computer, you want to make sure to you create a backup of the encryption keys in case the [COLOR=orange !important][COLOR=orange !important]operating [COLOR=orange !important]system[/COLOR][/COLOR][/COLOR] ever fails and you have to copy the data to an external drive.

scrwed... that recovery program only decrypt file that it can find the keys for. install and it said no keys found and cant decrypt without keys wtf is the point, glad i didnt pay $149

Sorry to hear that. If only if you have backup copy of the encryption key and certificate on your old 32 ultimate

not so since i formated it, and had no clue i even encrtped the stuff. never play with that again, also it was so easy to just delete volume of ultimate inside of win pro and then extend that volume back to my c, restarted and it was fine didnt have to boot into cd and repair boot loader, i guess since they both windows 7

omg after all that i had the file on my mp3 i use as backup so sorry guys, who cares about the media... that was so important
